About
About Served & Supported
A free guide for veterans, service members and their families: what the VA covers, how to file a claim, and where to get free help near you.
We built it because too many veterans never get what they earned. The rules are hard to find, asking for help is hard, and some companies charge veterans for help that is free. This site puts the answers in plain language and points you to people who help at no cost.

Where the answers come from
The VA Coverage Guide is written from the VA's own rules and pages: VA.gov, the Code of Federal Regulations, and U.S. law. Every answer links to its source and says when we last checked it. Rules change. When something matters to you, confirm it with the VA or a free veterans service officer.
Where the listings come from
The places in Find help near you come from the Disability Atlas, a national directory built by ConnectIDD. It lists 5,667 places that help with VA claims, plus VA clinics, Vet Centers, legal help, housing and job programs. Each listing says how it was checked:
- Self Verified: the organization confirmed its own listing in the last 12 months.
- Confirmed Profile: checked against public sources.
- Registry Listing: from a public registry and not confirmed yet. Call first.
What we are not
We are not the VA or any part of the U.S. government, and we do not decide eligibility or file claims. We do not charge veterans anything, ever. Read how we handle your information on our privacy page.
